Food packaging material is the primary element of food industry; therefore, its consideration to sustain quality and safety crucial. Several food-grade materials have been utilized for commodities a long time. Still, these negatively influence safety, shelf life, texture, quality, flavors commodities. Concurrently, biotechnology introduces various techniques produce several edible i.e. polysaccharides protein-based films, intelligent active packaging, which can preserve period inhibit entry biotic abiotic components into food. Various nisin, chitosan, cactus/mucilage, bacterial nanocellulose, are being kinds including coatings, foams, with characteristics by biotechnological tools. The prepared applications widely adopted in processing preservation industries due higher levels more nutritional consumption. currently only solid semisolid processed products. However, there an urgency develop liquid such as products dairy beverages industry utilizing techniques.
